Celebrating the Year of the Sheep

FullSizeRender

Celebrate the “Year of the Sheep” from 1-4pm on  January 4th at the Center! As part of the monthly downtown First Sundays family programs, we’ll be offering kids the chance to make their very own sheep to bring home for 2015.

In China, each year is associated with one of twelve animals. The coming year, which begins on February 19th, is the Year of the Sheep, an animal that in China is a symbol of peace, tranquility, and harmonious co-existence. We’ll be getting an early start on welcoming these wonderful qualities by making our very own adorable sheep in the Center’s Kidzone. Join us as we celebrate new beginnings with a day of art, creative expression, and family fun. And don’t miss your last chance to catch the Riverside Festival of Lights!

First Sundays is a seasonal series of free family programs featuring different activities for children and teens at seven locations throughout downtown Riverside. Sponsored by the Riverside Arts Council.
