Come join us on December 6th between 1pm and 4pm for fun the whole family can enjoy! We will be creating a portrait from our memories and experiences. Let’s get creative together as we pull inspiration from everyday life!

Everyday Life Sample 1

In the 1960s, our featured artist Miné Okubo was inspired by happy memories of her childhood growing up in Riverside as well as her family traditions and history. She painted whimsical pictures of cats, flowers and trees, and smiling children.

Participants will use markers, crayons, pastels, cut paper, feathers, and stickers to depict their favorite memory, friend, pet, object, or event from their own family history and everyday life.

First Sundays is a seasonal series of free family programs featuring different activities for children and teens at seven different downtown locations.

Please note that there will be no First Sundays program in January due to the proximity to the holidays.
